Reading increases your vocabulary, channels your thoughts correctly and eventually changes your life. The type of books you read have a huge effect on how you think, how you behave, how you react to certain situations and how you interact with people. Leaders are readers, this means that reading more will equip you with a transformed mindset that eventually sets you apart from the rest and presents you as a leader.

A large number of South Africans - young and old do not read books. This is a dire situation because reading stimulates the mind and increases one’s ability to think critically. In line with World Book And Copyright day (23rd of April), this is our bid as influential content creators to highlight how dire the situation is while encouraging the youth to read.

This photo series makes use of mediums such as fashion, photography and art to encourage young people to read and make it a socially-acceptable, “cool” thing to do. We strategically made use of fashion photography - a visual language the youth is drawn to, interested in and understands well.

Having more readers in our society will equip us with the abilities to solve our country’s socioeconomic issues & social ills. Read often, live better. CREDITS:
