Electronic duo, Stiff Pap, team up with Moonchild Sanelly on ‘Ngomso’, an anthem that they share was 3 years in the making but “is still as relevant now as it was then.” Dropping this Friday (20/11/2020) the rapper (Ayema Problem) and producer (Jakinda) continue to straddle the worlds of gqom, kwaito and hip-hop while retaining their independence and unconventionality even when collabing with brands like Redbull and Adidas. “Whether we were in the gqom era or the current amapiano era”, they say, “we never followed trends, we’ve always set our own.”

What to expect of this latest collab? “This track is a representation of being young, black and carefree in South Africa”, the team sums up. ‘Ngomso’ is accompanied by a music video produced by Sarin Drew (The V Company), directed by Sandulela Asanda Biyana and with cinematography by Anton Schultz.

The track is described as being “reminiscent of summer holidays at the beach soaking up some sun with the whole family.” Which sounds like something we’re all in need of these days. What perfect timing it turned out to be.
