Sometimes we fall and it may get a bit hard to get back up and start moving forward with your journey again, with the fall comes a change in perspective and a change in self, a change that some people might not appreciate but it does not really matter. All that really matters is that with every fall you see growth in yourself and that is what this piece is about. It's about acknowledging the bad times but coming back stronger than ever when the bad times pass.
I may have failed the climb. Missed a couple of steps then tumbled and fell. Kissing the ground was the last thing I wanted. The last thing I needed. It was painful I felt it.
I may have swam in broken glass. Watched my world fall apart with every stroke. With every piece of broken glass piercing through my fallen heart. My fallen faith. All I did was bleed and it numbed me down.
I may have disappeared in my shadow. Lost myself in a forest filled with my nightmares. A sea full of sorrow. I almost touched the clouds but I slipped and plummeted.

I may have taken my time with it. Held on to the ghost that was me. I knew she would rise from the dead again.
Her forgotten ashes sparked a new flame. Ignited a fire. Burnt down the pain. Immortal she is.
I may have forgotten who I am. Allowed them to paint a picture from their perspective. They did my glory no justice. Forgot the crown that lays on my head. Turned a blind eye to the royalty I am.
I may have had the last laugh. Stepped into my lair ready to blow up the world. A villain I am. A comeback they might despise.
About Tshiamo: I am an aspiring South African poet and singer-songwriter, with the hopes of having my very own book out into the public one day. I pride myself in using words and song to express myself in every single situation. I am currently at the University of Witswatersrand studying to words a degree in accounting. I only started writing because I think that the art is beautiful and its amazing how an artist can put their thoughts on paper in a way that could relate to a lot of people.
